We're in full-on puppy training prep mode around here. These books, as well as a few others and a DVD, are scattered around the house being devoured by the boys and me. We're starting to feel like experts and it's reminding me of a particular book that I read while waiting for Travis to be born that promised me a perfectly behaved, non-manipulative, keep-time-by-his-schedule kind of baby if I only followed their plan. Once Travis was actually born and I freaked out that it "wasn't working", Jimmy wisely threatened to throw it in the trash if I picked it up again. I have high hopes that we won't have the same result this time. And if we do, I know two young men who will have a wonderful time "pacing the halls" with their rambunctious little pup.
