favorite smoothies

We love smoothies around here and, as much as we love Winter, cold smoothies are just much more fun to drink when the sun is shining and the air is warmer. Here are a few of our favorites:

banana peanut-butter

3 bananas
2T (heaping) peanut-butter
2 cups of chocolate milk (regular milk tastes good, too)
3T flax seeds
few handfuls of ice



chocolate cherry

1 banana
1 avocado
1c frozen cherries
1c frozen blueberries
3 handfuls raw spinach
2T flax seeds
splash of pomegranate juice (when I have some)
2c chocolate milk
few handfuls of ice


super-green smoothie

1 banana
3 whole oranges
1 whole lime
1c frozen pineapple
3 handfuls raw spinach
2T flax seeds
2T extra-virgin coconut oil
1c orange juice
few handfuls of ice

(this one tastes like it should have a little umbrella in it!)

The ingredients might make you a little dubious but they really are delicious. Try one for yourself!
