Baby in our bed

He sneaks in every morning long before the sun comes up. He burrows in between us and snuggles down. We're six for six on snugglers, but the others have outgrown their need to nestle in like this and we know how quickly that day comes. With no little one coming up behind him he might take a little longer than the others to leave this nest, and that's just fine with us. He's got a pretty sweet little face to wake up to.

Windows

Our entire home was designed around these kitchen windows. They were the only thing I could think of when Jimmy first asked me what I'd really love to have in a house (I was eventually able to come up with a few more suggestions...). For the last five weeks there hasn't been a single instance of dish-washing where I haven't stood for a moment and taken a deep breath at these windows. And I wash a lot of dishes. This morning I especially enjoyed the show of Dogwood trees and remembered my mom. They were her favorites and she often planned springtime trips up here around their peek blooming season. Spring Green might be my new favorite color.
